James Slaz is a seasoned music curator with over a decade of experience shaping up Melbourne’s nightlife.

A familiar face along the infamous Chapel Street strip, it’s quite common to see James playing at all the hotspots in just one night — always wrapping things up with a sunrise across Commercial Road institution Circus Bar.

Not just one to watch behind the decks, Slaz has a key involvement in the operations and programming of some of the city’s favourite venues and events.

2025 sees Slaz diving into his production journey, with his first release ‘Turn The Light On’ on Valiant’s label. Stay tuned — there’s plenty more to come.
